% 17.01.2018 By this petition the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.716/2015 under Section 135 of the Electricity Act registered at PS Mehrauli on the complaint of officers of Respondent No.2 on the ground that the parties have settled the matter.

Mr.Pradeep Basoya, Assistant Manager (Legal) of respondent No.2 is present in Court and is identified by learned counsel. He states that he is authorized and competent to make a statement on behalf of respondent No.2. He further states that the respondent No.2 has settled the matter with the W.P.(CRL) 3294/2017

petitioners and in lieu of the payments made by the petitioners, 'No Dues' certificate has already been issued to the petitioners copy whereof is at page 21 and 22 of the paper book. He states that the respondent No.2 does not wish to pursue the above noted FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. Petitioners who are present in Court and are identified by the learned counsel affirm the statement of Mr.Pradeep Basoya. Since parties have settled the matter of their own free will and volition, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Consequently, FIR No.716/2015 under Section 135 of the Electricity Act registered at PS Mehrauli and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

Parties have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Court.

Petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
