CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
ORDER
% 30.11.2017 By these petitions, petitioners have prayed for quashing of the following cross FIRs:- /
V FIR No. 276/2016 under Sections 506/509 IPC registered at P.S. Chitaranjan Park on the complaint of Ms. Shubhra Khanna (respondent no.
2) in Cr1. M.C. No. 4997/2017 and petitioner no. 2 in Cr1. M.C. no. 5007/2017; and FIR No. 278/2016 under Sections 506/509 IPC registered at P.S. Chitaranjan Park on the complaint of Ms. Ishita Dasgupta (respondent no. 2) in Cr1. M.C. No. 5007/2017 and petitioner no. 2 in Cr1. M.C. No. 4997/2017. It is submitted that petitioners and private respondents (complainants), in both the petitions, are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which had led to registration of the aforesaid cross FIRs. With the interventions of their common friends and family members, petitioners and private respondents have settled their disputes; therefore, aforesaid cross FIRs may be quashed. Petitioners and private respondents, in both the petitions, are present in Court, except petitioner no. 3 in Cr1. M.C. No.
4997/20 17, along with their counsels and have been identified by SI Anil Kumar of police station Chitranjan Park. Private respondents/complainants submit that they are not willing to pursue the FIRs any further against the petitioners and the same may be quashed.
petitioners and private respondents on some trivial issues, which had led to registration of the cross FIRs and that they have now settled their disputes amicably with the intervention of their common friends and family members in order to maintain harmonious relations in future, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, both the FIRs, that is, FIR No. 276/2016 under Sections 506/509 IPC and FIR No. 278/2016 under Sections 506/509 IPC registered at P.S. Chitaranjan Park and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Both the petitions are disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. lei ae--1 A.K. PATHAK, J.
