% 23.08.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Aarti is present in Court and has been identified by SI Arun Kumar of police station Tilak Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 29th October, 2015.

She further states that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce under section 13(1) (ia) of H M Act, dated 4th May, 2010 passed by Family Court, Rohini, Delhi.

Respondent no. 2 submits that entire settled amount has been paid to her by the petitioner no.1 and in view of the settlement arrived at with the petitioner no.1, she has no objection in case FIR no. 392/2005 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and consequent proceedings

emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 392/2005 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
