1. It is seen that this petition under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 („Act‟) has been pending since October 2015.
2. On 22nd December, 2015, the Court appointed a Committee of three persons to examine the aspect of payment being made to the security guards provided by the Petitioner. It is stated that the Committee found that even the minimum wages were not being paid to the security guards. According to the learned counsel for the Respondent, the Petitioner has not been cooperating since then.
3. It seems that the contract itself has come to an end. There is no interim order passed till date in this petition. The Petitioner also does not appear to have invoked the arbitration clause or taken steps to have an Arbitrator appointed in the meanwhile.
O.M.P.(I) 570/2015
4. In that view of the matter, the Court does not see any purpose being served in keeping this petition pending and it is disposed of as such. S. MURALIDHAR, J OCTOBER 06, 2016/dn O.M.P.(I) 570/2015
