The learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 accepts notice. 5.
The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning an order dated 13.10.2017 issued by respondent no.1, inter alia, stating that a sum of ₹21,48,086/- is recoverable from the petitioner as arrears of land revenue. 6.
The petitioner states that he has neither received any order imposing such liability nor any prior notice of proceedings in this regard. 7.
The petitioner has been called upon to appear before respondent no.2
and he apprehends that coercive steps will be taken against him on his appearing before the concerned officer.

In view of the above, this writ petition and the pending application are disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before respondent no.1. Respondent no.1 is further directed to provide copies of all relevant documents on the basis of which the impugned notice has been issued. The petitioner would, thereafter, be provided with sufficient opportunity to file a comprehensive reply before respondent no.1. Respondent no.1 will consider the same and pass a speaking order. In the meanwhile, no coercive steps will be taken against the petitioner.

It is clarified that all rights and contentions of the parties are kept open.
