CORAM:

JUSTICE S. MURALIDHAR JUSTICE SANJEEV NARULA

O R D E R

% 18.12.2018

1. This appeal is directed against an order dated 20th November 2017 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.(C) 10302/2017.

2. The Appellant is a Group-D employee with the Bureau of Indian Standards ('BIS') who went before the learned Single Judge aggrieved by a transfer order dated 8th November 2017 transferring him from Sahibabad to Mumbai. According to the Appellant, the said transfer order was contrary to the transfer policy of BIS. The learned Single Judge disagreed with the Appellant and dismissed the writ petition.

3. Learned counsel for the Appellant took this Court through the Transfer Policy and sought to argue with reference to para 4 thereof that his transfer

from Sahibabad to Mumbai was contrary to the said policy.

4. On carefully perusing the policy, the Court finds that there is no bar to transferring a Group-D employee from Sahibabad to Mumbai in terms of the said policy and in particular in terms of para 4 thereof. In that view of the matter, there was no error committed by the learned Single Judge in dismissing the Appellant's writ petition.

5. The appeal is dismissed.
