CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE ANU MALHOTRA

O R D E R

% 17.01.2018 Submissions have been made on behalf of the either side. Status report dated 12.02.2018 has been submitted by the State. Without any observation on the merits or demerits of the evidence led before the learned trial Court, taking into account the submissions made on behalf of the State that the victim and the complainant have identified the petitioner as the person who fired the revolver on the victim and there had been injuries sustained by the victim, despite the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has been in custody for about five years, there is no ground for grant of bail.

A prayer is made on behalf of the petitioner seeking expeditious trial, in relation to which it has been submitted on behalf of the State that only the Investigating Officer and Constable Zile Singh and Constable Vijay, formal witnesses remain to be examined.

The trial Court would make an endeavour to complete the trial within a period of four months with effect from the date of receipt of this order.

The application is disposed of.
