O R D E R

% 24.01.2018 Respondent no. 2 is mother of respondent no. 3, who is aged about 16 years of age.

Respondent no. 3 is represented through her mother, that is, respondent no. 2.

It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue, which led to registration of the present FIR No. 722/2017 under Sections 323/341/354 IPC at Police Station Mukherjee Nagar on the complaint of respondent no. 3. With the interventions of their common friends and other family members, petitioner and respondent nos. 2 and 3 have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Memorandum of Understanding/Compromise Deed dated 24th

November, 2017; therefore the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Bachchu Singh of police station Mukherjee Nagar.

Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent nos.2 and 3 voluntarily, in my view no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.

722/2017 under Sections 323/341/354 IPC registered at Police Station Mukherjee Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
