% 12.03.2018 Petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No.519/2013 registered under Sections 498A/406 of the IPC at police station Delhi Cantt. on the complaint of respondent no.2.
Respondent no.2 is present in person.
It is stated that the matter stands settled between the parties. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had married according to Hindu rites and they have since divorced by a decree of mutual consent dated 09.11.2016. No child was born out of the wedlock. A sum of ₹3 lakhs had been agreed to be paid by petitioner no.1 to the respondent no.2 which stands paid to respondent no.2. This position is affirmed by respondent no.2. Her presence has been identified by the Investigating Officer. The terms of settlement being complete, this is a fit case where the prayer made in the petition be allowed.
Accordingly, FIR No.519/2013 registered under Sections 498A/406 of the IPC at police station Delhi Cantt. and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed.
Petition disposed of in the above terms.
