O R D E R

% 02.08.2018 It is submitted that a quarrel took place between the petitioner No. 1 and respondent No.2, which resulted in the registration of two cross FIRs, i.e., FIR No.97/2017 under Sections 323/324/341/308 and 34 IPC registered at P.S. I.P.Estate on the complaint of respondent No.2 Mohd. Hafiz and FIR No.1135/17 under Sections 308/323/341/34 IPC at P.S. I.P.Estate. It has been submitted that the petitioner No. 1 and respondent Nos. 2 to 5 have settled their disputes amicably.

It is further submitted that complainant/accused in the cross FIRs have also settled the matter and the cross FIR No.1135/17 under Sections 308/323/341/34 IPC P.S. I.P.Estate has already been quashed vide order dated 22.12.2017 passed in Crl.M.C. No.5396/2017 titled Imran & Ors. vs State & Ors. It is prayed that the present FIR may also be quashed in view of the

settlement between the parties.

Keeping in view the fact that quarrel took place between two groups which resulted the registration of two cross FIRs and also the fact that the matter has been amicably settled inasmuch as the cross FIR was already quashed, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.97/2017 under Sections 323/324/341/308 and 34 IPC registered at P.S. I.P.Estate and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
