% 22.02.2018 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Manju is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Devender of police station Dabri. Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, Delhi on 2nd January, 2013 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 8th August, 2013 passed by the Family Court, Dwarka, New Delhi. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has received the entire settled amount and she has no objection in
case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 6.
Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 10/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Dabri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
