% 13.12.2017 This petition seeks quashing of FIR No. 60/2016 registered at P.S. Crime (Women) Cell, Nanak Pura under section 498A/406/34 IPC. This FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent No. 2 Smt. Ruksana daughter of Mr. Ahmed Ali pertaining to a matrimonial discord with her erstwhile husband Mr. Abid Khan and his family members and relatives who have been arrayed as petitioner Nos. 2 to
5. The complainant and her husband have mutually terminated the contract of marriage and it is stated that the complainant has indeed remarried and living with her family. She is present in the Court and has been identified by her counsel as well as by the Investigating Officer. She states that she does not wish to pursue the complaint any further and would rather work towards a happy married life. Her
counsel states that she has been returned all her personal belongings and she has no claim against the petitioners, whatsoever. The petitioner Nos. 1 to 4 are present in the Court today. They have been identified by their counsel. They state that they have no lis against the respondent No. 2/complaint and respect her new matrimonial life and wish her the best.
Respondent No. 5 - Jaan Mohd. is not present. However, his affidavit supports the petition. Photocopy of the identity card of the petitioners have been taken on record.
In view of the aforesaid, FIR No. 60/2016 registered at P.S. Crime (Women) Cell, Nanak Pura under section 498A/406/34 IPC and all proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. The petition is disposed off in the above terms. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
