1. A status report has been filed on 28th February, 2018 by the Station House Officer („SHO‟) of Police Station („PS‟) Shahabad Dairy in which it is inter alia stated that the investigation is almost complete. A draft final report has been prepared and has been sent to the prosecution branch on 26th February, 2018 for approval.

2. Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State,

informs the Court that some defects have been pointed out by the prosecution branch which are being examined. He expects the final report to be filed in the Court concerned under Section 173 Cr PC within four weeks from today.

3. In view of the above development, the Court does not propose to keep the present petition pending any longer. The Court, therefore, also does not consider it necessary to examine the two pending applications. 4 The writ petition and applications are disposed of. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
