The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act') seeking to enforce an arbitral award dated 01.06.2006. Admittedly, the challenge laid to the said award under Section 34 of the Act has been rejected and the appeals preferred from the order rejecting the said challenge has also been rejected.

Concededly, the arbitral award has become final and is required to be enforced.
The present petition was taken up on 16.01.2018 when it was noted that the amount of `13,48,30,274/- is outstanding and payable by the respondent. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that the said figure is incorrect and the correct figure of the outstanding amount is `13,16,21,355/-.
He states that the draft bearing no.476378 dated
06.04.2018 drawn on Punjab National Bank, ECE House, K. G. Marg, New Delhi for a sum of `13,16,21,355/- has been made in favour of the Registrar General of this Court.

The said draft has been handed over to this Court. The same would be forwarded to the Registrar General of this Court and would be encashed by him.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that with the disbursal of that amount, the petition would be satisfied. In view of this statement, the Registrar General is directed to disburse the amount collected from encashment of the bank draft to the petitioner. 5.
