% 13.12.2017 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Renu Bala Sharma is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Sumedha of police station Jahangir Puri.

Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 4th April, 2016 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

It is submitted that marriage between respondent no. 2 and petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by an

ex-parte decree of divorce dated 20th July, 2010 passed by the Additional District Judge, Rohtak, Haryana.

Respondent no. 2 submits that she has accepted this ex-parte decree.

Petitioner no. 1 has paid `75,000/- to the respondent no. 2, vide a demand draft. Respondent no. 2 further submits that entire settled amount stands paid with this payment and she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5 and the same may be quashed. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No.171/2007 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Jahangir Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
