1. The prayers in the present petition read as under: "(a) pass a writ, order or direction in the nature of a writ of declaration, declaring the acquisition proceedings initiated in respect to the land of the petitioner being Khasra Nos. 1546/2(318) and 1547(4-16), Village Chattarpur, Tehsil Mehrauli, New Delhi, under. Award No.15/87-88 is deemed to have lapsed in view of the provisions of The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

(b) award costs of the present petition to the petitioner and against the respondents.

(c) pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

2. The narration in the petition is that a notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1984 (LAA) was issued on 25th November 1980 followed by a declaration under Section 6 of LAA issued on 7th June 1985. The Award was passed on 5th June 1987.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to file a fresh petition properly explaining the inordinate delay in approaching the Court for relief.

4. Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
