O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for grant of parole to enable him to perform the last rites of his father, who has expired on 8th December, 2017.

Status report has been filed by the State verifying the factum of death of father of the petitioner on 8th December, 2017. 3.

Nominal roll of the petitioner also received. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 'Tehravi' of father of the petitioner is to be performed on 22nd December, 2017 and prays for grant of parole to the petitioner to enable him to perform the last rites of his father. 5.

Considering the ground for which the petitioner is seeking parole i.e. to perform the last rites of his father who has expired on 8th December, W.P.(CRL) 3473/2017

2017, the prayer of the petitioner is allowed to the extent that he is granted parole upto 22nd December, 2017 from the date of release on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of concerned Jail Superintendent and subject to the following conditions:

(i) During the period of parole, the Petitioner shall report to the Duty Officer, P.S. Kotwali on 18th December, 2017 at 10.00 AM. (ii) While submitting the bail bond, he will furnish to the Jail Superintendent the address of the place where he would reside in Delhi during the period of parole as well as the contact numbers. 6.

It is, however, made clear that on expiry of the parole period, the Petitioner shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent on 23rd December, 2017.

Writ Petition stands allowed in the above terms. 8.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and compliance.

As prayed, copy of the order be given dasti to learned counsel for the petitioner under the signature of Court Master. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
