ARB.P. 804/2017 This petition under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') has been filed by the petitioner seeking appointment of a Sole Arbitrator for adjudication of the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the Letter of Award dated 18th January, 2010 issued by the respondent in favour of the petitioner for work of laying the pipelines and associated work for the City Gas Distribution Project (CGDP) in a designated area of approx 40 kms in Kota City area in Rajasthan. The learned counsel for the respondent appears on advance notice. She submits that the respondent has no objection on the appointment of an Arbitrator and hands over a list of panel of
Arbitrators.
At the request of the parties and with their concurrence, I hereby appoint Justice Deepak Verma (Retd.), B-4, Geetanjali Enclave (ground floor), Main Shivalik Road, New Delhi-110017, as the Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the above work. The Arbitrator will file his disclosure in terms of Section 12 of the Act before proceeding with the reference.
All contentions and submission of either party shall remain open before the arbitrator.
The petition is allowed in the above terms.
