By this petition the petitioner seeks extension of parole on the ground that his mother has since passed away.

The petitioner was granted parole for a period of two weeks when he was released on 30th November, 2017. During the pendency of the parole period his mother has passed away on 10th December, 2017. 3.

Status report and the nominal roll of the petitioner have been handed over by the learned Additional Standing Counsel which is taken on record. 4.

As per the status report the factum of death of the mother of the petitioner having been passed away on 10th December, 2017 has been verified.

Considering the facts verified, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner for a further period of four weeks on the same terms and conditions as directed vide order dated 31st October, 2017 in W.P. (Crl) No. 2647/2017. Petitioner would surrender to custody after expiry of the period of parole.

Petition is disposed of.
