The present petition was filed seeking a direction to the respondent no.1 to take appropriate action against the alleged unauthorised construction carried out by the respondent nos.2 to 4 in property no.L-7, Khasra no.294, Batla House, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi.

A status report has been handed over in Court by the respondent no.1. The same is taken on record. As per the status report, partial demolition of unauthorised construction has already been carried out on 21.12.2017 and the respondents are taking active steps to demolish the remaining unauthorised property. 3.
In view of the aforesaid stand taken by the respondent no.1, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition but states that the respondent no.1 be bound to their statement to take
action expeditiously in respect of the unauthorized construction. 4.
The petition is accordingly disposed of with directions to the respondent no.1 take appropriate action as per law qua the unauthorised construction in question within a period of six months, with liberty to the petitioner to seek legal recourse in case the respondents fail to take action as directed hereinabove, within the aforesaid period of six months.
