% 21.12.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts on 4th January, 2017; therefore, FIR No.648/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar, registered on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed qua the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 6. Respondent no. 2 Ms. Nida Akhtar is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified SI Nishant of police station Ranjit Nagar.

Respondent no. 2 admits having

settled the matter with petitioner no. 1 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Petitioner no. 1 has paid `2,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 towards balance settled amount vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 submits that entire settled amount stands paid with this payment. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioners and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.648/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
