% 07.08.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as settled amount has been paid by the petitioner. Therefore, FIR No. 1127/2016 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amend.), 2003 registered at Police Station Mehrauli and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Counsel for respondent no.2 submits that he has got instructions from respondent no. 2 to convey to the Court that matter has indeed been settled between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 and the settled amount stands

paid; therefore, respondent no. 2 has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
