The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the respondent/Indian Air Force for appointment to the post of Group X (Tech.) and Group Y (Non-Technical) trades and requests that his medical unfitness certificate issued by the Medical Board constituted by the respondents, be declared as null and void.

Mr. Narula, CGSC, who appears on an advance notice states on instructions that this petition is very belated as the entire process of filling up the subject posts is over by now. However, he states that the Indian Air Force has issued a fresh advertisement, inviting applications for the same post, which shall close on 12.1.2018 and if the petitioner is still interested he can apply if he is otherwise eligible.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in view of the submission made above, he does not wish to press the present petition and shall advise his client to apply afresh for the said post. 4.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed, along with the pending applications.
