% 19.12.2017 By a complaint by respondent nos. 2 and 3, an FIR was lodged against the petitioner under sections 354/468/471/504 IPC and under sections 66C/66D IT Act, 2000 registered at Police Station-Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi.

The lis is stated to be amicably settled between the parties. The complainants are represented by the counsel. They are also identified by the Investigating Officer. The learned counsel for the complainant states, upon instructions, that the complainants have resolved all her differences with the petitioner and they do not wish to pursue the complaint any further. The petitioner is present in the Court and has been identified by his counsel. The parties undertake to abide by the terms of the settlement deed dated 02.12.2017. Their undertakings are accepted.

Since the complainant does not wish to pursue the complaint and has compromised the matter with the petitioner, the substratum of the FIR is largely eroded. Keeping the FIR alive would serve no purpose and any proceeding emanating therefrom would be an exercise in futility. In view of the above, FIR No. 0585 dated 24.10.2017 lodged under sections 354/468/471/504 IPC and under sections 66C/66D IT Act, 2000 registered at Police Station-Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
