This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 1181/2014 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mandawali. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home since April, 2017. Settlement/Compromise deed dated 25.04.2017 signed by the parties W.P.(CRL) 3535/2017
before Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi is on record.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home.

The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties. 4.
Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 406/498A/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.1181/2014 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Mandawali and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 5.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
