IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ CRL.M.C. 5373/2017 SMT JASMEET KAUR ..... Petitioner Through Mr. Anand Shailani, Adv versus STATE OF NCT OF DELHI & ANR ..... Respondents Through Mr. M S Oberoi, APP for State ASI Rajinder Singh, PS Tilak Nagar Respondent no.2 in person
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 27.08.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have amicably settled their disputes, therefore, FIR No.407/2015 under sections 326/307 IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, may be quashed. It is noted that initially FIR was registered under section 324 IPC. Subsequently, since injuries were opined to be grievous, it was converted to Section 326/307 IPC.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Rajinder Singh of police station Tilak Nagar, New Delhi. Respondent no.2 admits the factum of settlement with the petitioner and says that he has no objection in case the aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the
petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K.
