% 29.08.2018 Respondent no.2 Ms. Kavita is present in Court along with her counsel and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Amit Kumar of police station Karawal Nagar.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide a Memorandum of Understanding dated 25th April, 2017, copy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 says that she has received the settled amount of ₹5,50,000/- and she has no objection in case FIR No.1198/2014 under Sections 287/338 IPC registered at Police Station

Karawal Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
