% 20.12.2017 I.A. 15350/2017 This is an application seeking exemption.

The same is allowed subject to just exceptions. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 64/2017 This is a petition filed under Section 29 (A) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for making of the Award by a further period of three months. The learned counsel for the respondent appears on advance notice and submits that the respondent has no objection if the prayer is granted.

I have perused the contents of the petition and in my opinion the time for making of the Award deserves to be extended in the present case. Accordingly, I extend the time period for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal till 31st March, 2018. The petition is allowed in the above terms with no orders as to costs.
