Petitioners by the present petition seek quashing of FIR No. 180 of 2017 under Sections 451/506/510/427/34 of the IPC, P.S. Defence Colony, New Delhi.

It is contended that the alleged incident happened on the spur of moment because of certain misunderstanding.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have settled with respondent no. 2 - complainant and the Memorandum of Understanding dated 15.12.2017 has been executed between the parties.

Respondent no. 2 who is present in person and represented by his counsel and identified by the Investigating Officer, submits that he has CRL.M.C. 5378/2017
settled with the petitioner and he does not wish to press charges against the petitioners as they have amicably settled all their disputes. 4.
In view of the fact that the disputes between the parties have been settled, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would also be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed. The FIR No. 180 of 2017 under Sections 451/506/510/427/34 of the IPC, P.S. Defence Colony, New Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are accordingly quashed.
