Mr. Chadda enters appearance for respondent no.2 which, in fact, is the concerned school.

The learned counsel for the petitioners points out that there is a typographical error in the following paragraph of the order dated 14.10.2015. It is also pointed out that spellings of the name Gudoo and the surname Diwakar are also wrongly indicated in the order dated 14.10.2015. 2.1 In the order dated 14.10.2015, it has, inter alia, been recorded as follows:

".... This is a writ petition in which petitioner no.1 seeks change in his name, qua class X and XII certificates, issued to petitioner no.2. Petitioner no.1 wants his name to be changed from Guddu Devadar to Prem Dewakar...."

2.2 It is stated that petitioner no.1 wants his name changed in the certificates of his ward / petitioner no.2, issued for class X and XII, from 'Mr. Prem Diwakar' to 'Mr. Gudoo Diwakar' and not the other way round. For this purpose, my attention has been drawn to the Gazette notification dated 25.04.2015.

Accordingly, the order dated 14.10.2015 is corrected to the extent given below. The corrected portion of the said order is underlined for the sake of convenience :

"....This is a writ petition in which petitioner no.1 seeks change in his name, qua class X and XII certificates, issued to petitioner no.2. Petitioner no.1 wants his name to be changed from Prem Diwakar to Gudoo Diwakar...."

As is obvious from what is stated above, petitioner no.1, who is the father of petitioner no.2, seeks a change in his name from Prem Diwakar to Gudoo Diwakar, in the Class X and XII certificates, issued to his ward (i.e. petitioner no.2).

4.1 For this purpose, the learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon a receipt issued by the CBSE/respondent no.1 to petitioner no.2, qua class IX for the session 2010-2011.

4.2 Furthermore, reliance is also placed on an application dated 05.08.2014, submitted by petitioner no.2 to the principal of the concerned school for change of name. See Annexure F, at page 36 of the paper book. 5.

Having regard to the above, the learned counsel for the concerned school/ respondent no.2 says that they will process the petitioners' case and forward the same to respondent no.1/CBSE. It is further stated that the needful will be done within four (4) weeks.

5.1 The learned counsel for respondent no.1/ CBSE says that on receipt of request, the said respondent will take a decision in the matter within four (4) weeks of receiving necessary papers from the concerned school / respondent no.2.

It is ordered accordingly. The concerned school/Respondent no.2 and respondent no.1/ CBSE will take requisite steps, as indicated above. 6.1 Needless to say, the entire exercise will be completed within twelve

(12) weeks from today.

With the aforesaid observations in place, the captioned petition is disposed of.
