O R D E R

% 09.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Shilpi Aggarwal is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Badlu Ram of police station Janak Puri. Present FIR No. 231/2013 under Sections 34/406/498A IPC was registered against the petitioner at police station Janak Puri, on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner before the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre on 24th April, 2014 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by

mutual consent dated 29th January, 2015 passed by the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi.

She also admits having received entire settled amount. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent nos. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
