The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying inter alia for quashing the order dated 4.10.2017 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal dismissing his contempt petition by expressing a view that the respondent No.1/SDMC and respondent No.2/NDMC have duly complied with the order dated 16.7.2015 passed by the Tribunal in OA No.1036/2012. The petitioner has also assailed the order dated 8.11.17 whereby the Tribunal has dismissed R.A.No.233/2017 filed by him seeking review of the order dated 4.10.2017.

After addressing arguments at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition while reserving the right of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 24.5.2017, passed by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), rejecting his claim for entitlement to promotion on the post of Assistant Malaria Inspector w.e.f. the year 1991.

Leave as prayed for is granted.

The petition is disposed of as not pressed.
