% 12.01.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Kavita Chaudhary is present in Court and has been identified by SI Brij Mohan of police station M.S. Park. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 17th January, 2017 passed by the Family Court-III, Faridabad, Haryana.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has already received `11 lacs from the petitioner out of the total settled amount of `14 lacs. Petitioner has paid balance settled amount of `3 lacs to the respondent no.2 today in Court vide two demand drafts, photocopy

whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in quashing of the FIR.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, FIR No. 12/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Mansarover Park and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
