% 05.01.2018 Respondent no.2-Nupur Rakshit Barua is present in Court and has been identified by SI Satish Kumar of police station Govind Puri. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 27th September, 2017 passed by the Family Court, South-East, Saket, New Delhi. Respondent no.2 submits that she has already received all her dowry articles and stridhan from the petitioner and she has no objection in quashing of the FIR. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record as Annexure P-4.

Keeping in view that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 162/2016 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at police station Govind Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
