% 13.02.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are living in the same locality.
They were known to each other.
A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which led to registration of the present FIR no. 402/2014 under Sections 354/323/341/506/509 IPC and Section 3 of the SC & ST Act at Police Station K.M. Pur, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. Respondent nos. 2 to 8 are present in Court and have been identified by SI Jaivir of police station K.M. Pur.
With the intervention of their common friends and other family members, petitioners and respondent no. 2
have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Memorandum of Understanding 4th August, 2017. Respondent nos. 2 to 8 submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and they have no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Respondent nos. 2 to 8 submit that each of them have already received the settled amount of `57,142/-.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and private respondents voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR no.
402/2014 under Sections 354/323/341/506/509 IPC and Section 3 of the SC & ST Act registered at Police Station K.M. Pur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
