By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that the wife of the petitioner is suffering from cancer. On a notice being issued, a status report has been handed over which is taken on record. 2.

As per the status report, the factum of the petitioner's wife suffering from cancer has been verified. The nominal roll indicates that the petitioner was granted parole by the Government of NCT of Delhi with effect from 6th August, 2018 for a period of two weeks which was further extended up to 11th September, 2018. During pendency of the appeal, the petitioner was granted interim suspension of sentence as well. There is no allegation that the petitioner misused the concession granted to him. Thus considering the facts verified, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `25,000/- with one surety bond of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court/CMM/Duty Magistrate. 4.

Petition is disposed of.
