The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "issue an appropriate Writ/Order or Direction in the nature of mandamus to the respondent to update the tracking details in respect of registered post No. RD 894407676IN dated 06.07.2018 and/or to provide proof of delivery of the letter/demand notice to the addressee;"

It is the petitioner's case that he had despatched a notice by registered post on 06.07.2018 and requires the proof of delivery to pursue proceedings under the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The petitioner's grievance is that his repeated request for providing proof of delivery has not been acceded to.

Plainly, the respondents would be required to take steps to ensure that the proof of delivery of the article sent by registered post is provided to him. In this view, the present petition is allowed and the respondents are directed to update the tracking details and provide the proof of delivery to the petitioner as requested within a period of three weeks from today. In the event, the proof of delivery is not available, the respondents shall communicate the reasons for its unavailability to the petitioner within the aforesaid period.
