During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner opted to withdraw the application for regular bail. She, however, prayed to grant interim bail for certain period to the petitioner to enable him to see his ailing grand-mother aged around 90 years.

The petitioner is in custody since 22.07.2013. Statement of the prosecutrix has since been recorded. In the interest of justice and to enable the petitioner to remain with his old grand-mother aged around 90 years, he is granted interim bail for five days from the date of release on furnishing personal bond in the sum of `50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. The petitioner shall surrender before Superintendent Jail on expiry of the interim bail.
