The present petition is filed seeking leave to appeal against the judgment dated 12.09.2018, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge/Special Judge (NDPS), North District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, pursuant to which the Respondents were acquitted in FIR No. 34/2012, for offences under Sections 333/353/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC').

The allegations against the respondents are that on 08.02.2012, they assaulted the complainants viz. CT. Anil Kumar and HC Narender, in order to deter them in discharging their duties and also inflicted injuries upon the Police Officers. 3.

However, vide the impugned judgment of acquittal, the respondents have been acquitted by the learned Trial Court essentially on the ground that no independent witness was brought by the prosecution in support of their case. 4.

submits that the injuries sustained were duly reflected in the MLC and two of the accused persons were caught on the spot. 5.
