1. The Court has been shown the extracts of the „Medical Standards for Commissioning / Recruitment / Cadet Entry, 2017‟ prepared by the office of the Directorate General of the Armed Forces Medical Service. It clearly mentions that "ACL reconstruction surgery is to be considered unfit". Learned counsel for the Respondents does not dispute that the aforementioned medical standard was not displayed on the website of the IAF.

2. While not being inclined to grant any relief to the Petitioner, the Court directs the Respondents to immediately update the medical standards, as displayed on their website so that no inconvenience is caused to prospective candidates.

3. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
