1. In an order passed today in W.P. (C) 4147/2018 (Hemant Kumar v. Union of India) directions have been issued to the Respondents to undertake a cadre review in the Shasastra Seema Bal (SSB).

2. As far as the present petition is concerned, it is by Nursing Orderlies of the SSB who are aggrieved by the lack of promotional opportunities. It is stated that by amending the recruitment rules, the earlier promotional avenues have been taken away.

3. The Court directs that in the cadre review being undertaken by the Respondents pursuant to the order in Hemant Kumar v. Union of India (supra), the grievance of the present Petitioners should also be addressed.

They would also be communicated the decision as a result of the cadre review within 15 days of it being taken. If the Petitioners are aggrieved by such decision, it will be open to them to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.
