Issue notice. Ms. Jain accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 2.1 Learned counsel says that she does not wish to file a reply to the captioned petition.

The limited prayer made in the petition is to extend time for concluding the arbitration proceedings.

The record, as presently placed before me, shows that this Court had initially appointed, one, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, as a sole Arbitrator, on 30.1.2017.

4.1 However, on account of the demise of Mr. Rajesh Kumar he was substituted, by this Court, on 20.3.2017, with Mr. C.K. Chaturvedi, former District Judge.

4.2 The learned Arbitrator Mr. C.K. Chaturvedi, accordingly, entered upon reference, according to the petitioner, on 30.5.2017. 5.

It appears that the parties mutually agreed to extension of time by a period of six (6) months during the course of the arbitration proceedings. 5.1 The extended time, I am told, expired on 30.11.2018. 6.

I am also informed by counsel for the parties that the matter is at the stage of evidence.

Accordingly, having regard to the time and money invested by the parties, I am inclined to grant further extension of time by a period of six (6) months commencing from 1.12.2018.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 9.
