Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Ekta Sadh is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by ASI Jatan Swaroop of police station Krishan Nagar. Petitioner no.1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) state that they have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 5th April, 2013 and are living together since then. Respondent no.2 says that she has no objection if FIR No. 405/2011 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC, Police Station Krishan Nagar is quashed, in view of the settlement arrived at before the Mediation Centre. Affidavit of

respondent no. 2 to this effect is also on record. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
