O R D E R

% 01.08.2016 On oral request of learned counsel for petitioner, Mr. R. K. Sharma, Ms. Kiran Sharma and Ms. Shalini are impleaded as petitioner nos.2 to 4. Amended memo of parties be filed during course of the day. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 27th June, 2012. Within three months of marriage, their relations got strained. On the complaint of respondent no.2, the present FIR No.99/2013 was registered at police station Vikas Puri under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC.

Petitioner nos.2 to 4 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably. They have decided to part their ways, inasmuch as, their marriage has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce dated

3rd May, 2014 by mutual consent. Investigations are over and charge sheet has been filed against petitioner no.1.

Petitioner nos.2 to 4 have been put in column no.12.

Keeping in mind the facts that the parties have settled their disputes amicably and the marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, the FIR No.99/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Vikas Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

It is pointed out that petitioner no.1 has filed two complaints with police station Hari Nagar, that is, on 19th July, 2014 vide DD No.26B and complaint dated 29th August, 2014.

Learned additional standing counsel submits that complaints have not culminated in registration of any FIR. Petitioner no.1 submits that he withdraws these complaints made with police station Hari Nagar. These complaints stand withdrawn. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
