2. Notice. Mr. Akshay Makhija, CGSC, accepts notice for UOI.

3. Counsel for the Respondent/UOI does not dispute that the cadre review of the administrative cadre of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) took place last in 1996 and that there has been an extraordinary delay in conducting the next cadre review. He states that the proposal for undertaking the review is under consideration by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

4. Counsel for the Petitioner points out that the proposal for cadre review W.P.(C) 13924/2018 Page 1 of 2

was sent to the MoD on 23rd December 2016.

5. In that view of the matter, it is directed that the cadre review in respect of the administrative cadre of the BRO should be completed by the MoD not later than four months from today.

6. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.

7. If there is non-compliance of this order, it will be open to the Petitioner to apply for directions.
