By this petition, the petitioner seeks protection from respondent No.3. Case of the petitioner is that the respondent No.3 was making advances towards her and wanted to marry which proposal she turned down and thereafter respondent No.3 is harassing her. She thus prays for protection. 2.

Notice.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. On instructions he submits that on the complaint of the petitioner, FIR No.27/2019 under Sections 354-A/506/509 IPC has been registered at PS Madhu Vihar. Her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. has also been recorded and the concerned SHO/Division Staff/Beat Staff and the Investigating Officer have given their phone numbers and in case of any apprehension she is free to contact them. He further states that as per the W.P.(CRL) 3938/2018

statement of the petitioner under Section 164 Cr.P.C., a Nikahnama was prepared which was under coercion though now she claims it to be a forged and fabricated document. He further states that investigation in accordance with law is going on after registration of the abovenoted FIR. 4.

Considering the nature of allegations and the apprehension of the petitioner, the concerned SHO is directed to ensure the protection of the petitioner through beat staff and in case of any specific complaint, action thereon be taken in accordance with law. The SHO would be at liberty to review the security if there is no threat perception. 5.

Petition is disposed of.
