% 01.09.2016 Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 were married on 18th November, 2011, according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. On account of marital discord, they started living separately with effect from 5th December, 2013. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 575/2014 under Section 406 IPC was registered at Police Station Jagatpuri against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 8. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding/Compromise Deed dated 12th May, 2015. Marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved on 6th

May, 2016 by the Family Court, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today and has been identified by SI Mukesh Yadav, P.S. Jagatpuri.

Respondent no. 2 admits that she has received the entire settled amount.

She submits that she has no objection in case FIR in question is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as have parted ways, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in the criminal proceedings.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 575/2014 under Section 406 IPC registered at Police Station Jagatpuri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
