% 17.08.2016 Appellant and respondent no.1 have settled the matter on 21st July, 2010 before the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre on the terms and conditions as stipulated in the Settlement Agreement dated 21st July, 2016.

Counsel for respondent no.1 has admitted that entire settled amount has been received by the respondent no.1, in terms of the settlement, towards the civil liability. Counsel for respondent no.1 further submits that, in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, offence may be compounded.

Accordingly, offence under Section 135 of the Electricity

Act, 2003 is permitted to be compounded and appellant is acquitted. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
