IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ W.P.(C) 10886/2015 BHAWANI BAKSH VERMA ..... Petitioner Through:

Mr. Manoj V George, Adv.

versus C.B.S.E.

..... Respondent Through:

Mr. Atul Kumar, Adv.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 26.04.2017 By this writ petition, petitioner has prayed that respondent be directed to correct his name in the "Grade Sheet-cum-Certificate of Performance", for Secondary School Examination (Session 2012-14) issued to his daughter-Priya Verma, who appeared in the examination vide Roll No. 8786816.

It is submitted that his name has been mentioned as 'Bhawani Baksh Sharma' instead of Bhawani BakshVerma.

Sufficient documents have been placed on record to show that petitioner's name is 'Bhawani Baksh Verma', inasmuch as, in the certificate dated 13th September, 2013 issued by the Nigam Pratibha Girl's School, Aya Nagar-I, New Delhi-110047, his name has been recorded as 'Bhawani Baksh Verma'. It is noted that in the admission card of Ms. Priya Verma for Class XII examinations, which was issued subsequently, name of the petitioner has been recorded/shown as 'Bhawani Baksh Verma'. Original

admit card has been produced in Court, a photocopy whereof has been placed on record.

In the above facts and circumstances, I am of the view that respondent ought to have made the necessary corrections in their records in respect of the name of the father (petitioner) of Ms. Priya Verma. Accordingly, writ petition is allowed and respondent is directed to make the necessary corrections in respect of the name of the father of Ms. Priya Verma in the certificate, within two weeks from the date of receiving the original certificate which petitioner shall submit with the respondent, along with a copy of this order.

A.K. PATHAK, J.
