% 15.11.2016 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the status quo order dated 02nd November, 2015 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) 9940/2015 wherein parties were directed to maintain status quo with regard to construction of stilt area.

SDMC in its reply affidavit filed on 16th March, 2016 has stated that necessary demolition order/notice bearing date 29th October, 2015 was passed and a work stop letter/notice was issued to the SHO concerned vide order dated 14th October, 2015.

It is further stated that the regularisation application filed by Residents Welfare Association was rejected and the property was sealed on 02nd December, 2015. Thereafter, in accordance with the interim order, the fresh construction was demolished.

Respondent No.1 has also filed a reply affidavit dated 12th July, 2016. No rejoinder affidavit has been filed till date. Keeping in view the unrebutted averments in the reply affidavits, present contempt proceedings are closed and the notices issued are discharged.
